Anne-Marie is a consultant physician with a large private practice concentrating mainly on peri-operative medicine. She has over twenty-five years of experience in dealing with elderly patients and has a good understanding of what is required for safe and independent living. She has seen first hand the consequences for patients when falls have been undetected, and help has been delayed.
Bruce is an engineer and project manager with over thirty years of experience in numerous aspects of the telecommunications industry. Working in a technically complex environment, he understands that good end results are reliant on clearly understanding needs, developing solutions which are well thought through and implementing those solutions with a view to quality at every stage. Bruce has personal experience of the issues faced by aging parents living independently and understands well the needs of a system which supports that aim.
Aged Care Consultant Michael is a highly experienced professional dealing with aged care and general welfare-related work since 1985. He is a former manager, City of Boorondara Aged and Disability Services and social worker at St.Vincent’s Hospital. Michael is currently a valuable member of the team at St.Vincent’s Private Melbourne and St John of God Private Hospital, Berwick. He is a founding principal director of Linkcare Australia (est 1995). In these capacities, Michael is well aware of the issues for older people living at home alone and, in particular, the consequences for them of falling.
